The school offers separate boarding facility to both boys and girls who come from as far as from Bhutan, Bangladesh and different states of eastern India, who in turn contribute in their own way to the life of the school
The school Calendar that enlists the annual students’ programme itself proves the school’s endeavor to involve the students in various activities (other than academic) that help in developing their personalities to face the competitive world.
The school offers a large variety of co-curricular activities for the physical and cultural development of the children including vocal classical music, folk dances, art, guitar, drums, dramatics etc.
The school is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi, an all-Indian Board. The school has classes from Nursery to XII. The academic year begins in the middle of February and Final Examinations are conducted in the 3 rd week of November. English is the medium of instruction throughout the school, Hindi, Nepali and Dzongkha is taught as 2nd Language. A third language is taught in the Middle School, for which an option between Hindi, Nepali and Bengali is available.
Attendance procedure
75 percent attendance is a must to enable students to appear in any of the above mentioned examinations. Special arrangements cannot be made for pupils who remains absent from the main examinations or any part of them.
We believe that while a child is in school, a teacher is expected to act as a substitute parent with all the normal forms of parental discipline open to them. We look into how a child develops the inner strength and character that endows his life with order and coherence.
